Screening, Panel Discussion, & Exhibition Celebrating SAIC's 150th Anniversary

Monday, October 12th: Screening at 4 pm at the 1st Floor Event Space

Tuesday, October 13th: Screening at 12 pm at the 2nd Floor Event Space

Tuesday, October 13th: Panel Discussion from 4:30-5:45pm on the 2nd Floor

Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists will be screened as part of the year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The screenings will take place at the LeRoy Neiman Center (37 S. Wabash).

The Tuesday screening will be followed by a panel discussion entitled "What Is To Be Influenced?", which will examine what it means to be influenced for artists living in the contemporary visual culture. Panelists will include SAIC faculty and Hairy Who filmmakers. The discussion will also be accompanied by a pop-up exhibition of Imagist material from SAIC's Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection and Flaxman Library.
